When a hundred and forty characters just aren't enough.

  • It’s been five years since I last posted in this space. Here’s a brief summary of what’s happened in my life during that timeframe:

    • got laid off from my job
    • met an online friend for the first time after knowing them for 10 years
    • visited 8 European countries in 14 days with a bunch of cool people
    • found a new job
    • bought a car
    • moved into my own apartment
    • was promoted twice and won two leadership awards as judged by my peers
    • attended my 10-year high school reunion
    • saw my first live NBA game in over 7 years, where the 2014 champions played the 2015 champions
    • lost a couple friends, gained a few more
    • spent 10 incredible days in Japan this past October

Throw in a few dates, a couple vacations to more ‘modest’ domestic destinations, and here we are.

I turn 30 this year. I’ve matured a lot in the last five years. There’s still plenty more maturing to go.

For a long time, silence was easy, even profitable. However, I believe it has done more harm than good. That is why I plan to start writing again.

I’m not going to commit to a schedule, or a target word count, or any kind of format or subject matter. That said, I will try to write interesting material and make the content valuable to people besides myself.

Thanks for reading. I hope you continue to do so.
